E-WERF LiFePO4 Lithium Battery

Unsurpassed and developed for marine use

At E-WERF, we have extensive experience with different types of batteries, with a particular focus on the transition from traditional lead-acid batteries to modern lithium batteries for electric boats. Our experience shows that lead-acid batteries, such as Deep Cycle, AGM, traction and Lead Carbon batteries, are less suitable for electric drives. Lithium batteries, on the other hand, provide much better performance, especially if a boat is not used for a long period of time.

Our proprietary batteries stand out because they are completely designed from the ground up for marine use. The batteries are waterproof, stackable and can remain on the shelf for six months even after being fully discharged without risk of damaged cells.

Our 48|100 LiFePo4 battery is the core of our solutions for electric boating. This top-quality battery is equipped with an advanced BMS, specially designed for use in electric boats. It is a standard component in our quotations for conversion projects.

For use in commercial applications, we also have batteries in our range. These are often somewhat more expensive and meet the requirements set out in ES-TRIN2025, for example.

What distinguishes our batteries

At E-WERF, we develop and supply robust batteries designed specifically for electric boating. Unlike many suppliers offering generic batteries for various sectors, we tailor our batteries to the specific requirements of maritime applications. What really makes our batteries better than the alternatives?

1. Built for the maritime environment

A boat places completely different demands on a battery pack than, say, a car or a home battery. Moisture, vibration, temperature fluctuations and limited ventilation can have a major impact on a battery's lifespan and performance. Our batteries are specially designed to:

Withstand vibration, so they are not damaged by the constant movements of a ship.

Functioning well in humid conditions, with a robust housing and water-resistant connections.

Keep working efficiently in changing temperatures, so they perform optimally in the summer heat as well as on cold winter days.

2. Maximum reliability and safety

In electric boating, reliability is essential. A failure on the water can not only cause inconvenience, but also dangerous situations. That is why we build our batteries with:

High-quality cells, selected for longevity and performance.

An advanced Battery Management System (BMS) which continuously monitors voltage, temperature and charge status to prevent overcharging and deep discharge.

Secure connections and robust housing, minimising short circuits and other problems.

In addition, our batteries are always thoroughly tested before being put into use. This ensures that they can withstand the conditions in which they are used.

3. Perfectly integrated with our Sailconnect and Victron systems

Many batteries from other suppliers work with a standard protocol, but do not connect optimally with the rest of the installation. Our batteries are seamless integration with both Victron systems as our own Sailconnect, through which:

Perfect communication between the battery and other systems, ensuring more efficient energy management.

Charging and discharging more intelligently regulated, prolonging battery life.

Remote monitoring possible, so we can identify and solve any problems immediately.

4. Long service life and lower overall costs

Cheaper batteries may seem attractive at first glance, but the total cost over the life of a battery is much more important than the purchase price alone. Thanks to high-quality cell technology and our smart energy management, our batteries last longer than many alternatives. This means:

Less rapid loss of capacity, allowing you to cruise for longer without having to change the battery.

Lower risk of malfunctions, saving on maintenance costs and unexpected repairs.

Better efficiency, because the batteries charge and discharge more efficiently than standard solutions.

We also take future upgrades into account when designing, so that an installation can be easily expanded or modified without having to replace everything.

With our combination of in-house development, high-quality materials, smart integration and excellent servicewe distinguish ourselves in the market. Our batteries are not only robust and reliable, but also ensure that you can sail longer and more carefree.
