Located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, E-WERF specialises in converting traditionally powered boats to electric drives. With a strong focus on high quality, E-WERF develops drive systems for every type of boat to even better meet consumer needs.
Every boat is different and no wish is the same. E-WERF advises you which engine, battery and accessories best suit your boat and boating requirements. No uniformity but customisation. Technically, but also financially. We do not only build... We-Electrify
We have developed this configurator so that you can understand the cost of a conversion. However, every boat is different and we think our experience is invaluable in determining what is needed to electrically power your boat to your liking and budget. For tailor-made advice, we will be happy to provide you with a quotation, without any obligation. Please contact us for this.
E-WERF has focused entirely on electric drives since 2014 and has since successfully converted more than 350+ boats. This extensive experience makes us an expert in electric boating.
Among others, we use our self-developed lithium LiFePO4 batteries, which are specifically designed for marine applications. Unlike other batteries on the market, our batteries are fully adapted to the requirements and conditions of the water. In addition, we have developed unique connection boxes, which together with our batteries provide fail-safe, maintenance-free and extremely robust solutions - ideal for reliable electric boating.
Thanks to our efficient working methods and the large number of boats we convert every year, we can offer high-quality systems at competitive prices. This allows us to offer our customers the perfect combination of quality, innovation and affordability.
Naturally, we closely follow the rapidly changing market in the field of electric drives. Both technically and financially, innovations are developing rapidly, especially in battery and accumulator technology. Thanks to this expertise, we can and want to be your trusted partner in choosing the right electric propulsion system.
Transparency is of paramount importance to us. In our no-obligation quote, we aim to provide as complete an overview as possible so that you know exactly where you stand.
At E-WERF, personal contact with our customers is key. We believe it is important to understand you and your needs well, so that we can offer tailor-made solutions that fully meet your specific requirements. Our enthusiastic and dedicated team is committed to providing the best possible service and creating a warm, accessible environment where you are always welcome.
At E-WERF, safety and quality always come first. We employ extensive control mechanisms to ensure that every installation meets the highest standards. All our employees are certified and driven to make each installation not only better, but also more beautiful than the previous one. We never compromise on this.
For extra peace of mind, we also have excellent insurance, so you know that even an unexpected mishap need not cause any worries.
With more than 350 converted boats in our portfolio, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in a wide range of vessels. From classic sloops and modern powerboats to sailing yachts and even workboats and ferries, we have the knowledge and expertise to provide solutions that seamlessly meet our customers' needs.
Whether it is fully electric drives for eco-friendly boating or hybrid systems combining power and flexibility, we offer customised solutions for both private owners and commercial customers. Every boat and every situation is unique, and our team ensures that the solution perfectly matches the specific requirements of the vessel and the user.
At E-WERF, we combine innovative technology with years of experience to deliver electric and hybrid propulsion systems that are reliable, efficient and future-proof. Whether you are a recreational boat owner looking for a quiet and sustainable boating experience, or a business customer seeking operational efficiency and environmental friendliness, E-WERF is your partner for customisation and quality.
First of all, we will make a full analysis of your boat and then give you full advice on the desirable and possible activities, possibly in a multi-phase plan. After we have drawn up a plan together with you, you will receive a quotation from us detailing exactly what we will do. All according to the latest safety and quality standards.
Here, the boat is delivered to us and a further inspection in connection with the agreed activities follows. Any "surprises" are discussed with you even before significant costs are incurred; if necessary, this can lead to adjustment of the agreement.
This involves removing the engine, and any drive components such as e.g. propeller and propeller shaft (we pay attention to reuse and residual value) as well as control electronics and possibly parts of the interior.
This involves assembling the new driveline on site. Any support is remanufactured, in-house. Adjustment on the propeller shaft is realised. Control electronics (largely supplied with the engine will be reinstalled.
After the intended final stage has been reached, an extensive testing phase takes place after which our team may recommend additional work. However, we try to avoid the latter as much as possible to offer you the best possible transparency. Once the test procedure has been successfully completed, the boat is ready for delivery and you can go electric. For us, this was a revelation; we are sure you will feel the same way!
After a few weeks, you won't want anything else and you'll be completely used to the gentle lapping of the waves against your boat. We would then like to give the boat a final check and tighten everything up where necessary. If you have any other points of concern, we can also look at these straight away.
