E-WERF was born out of a passion to give old ships a second life with a sustainable character. With Amsterdam Jachtbouw, we used to import lifeboats, which we expertly renovated into luxury pleasure craft - already equipped with electric propulsion, of course.
That knowledge and love of craft have never been lost. In the off-season, we like to seize the opportunity to work with our hands again: carpentry, laminating and painting. Step by step, we thus build, fully customised, a beautiful sloop according to your wishes. From a custom layout with self-draining floor to a teak deck with powder-coated fittings - we like to think along with you to realise the perfect sloop.

HYBRID BOATING STARTS AT E-YARD
The best of both worlds.
Want to combine the benefits of electric cruising with the range of a fuel engine? A hybrid drive could be the perfect solution. There are no standard solutions for hybrid drives, but at E-WERF we have extensive experience to realise a suitable solution for almost any boat.
We offer hybrid systems such as engines mounted on a diesel engine, pod engines placed next to an outboard engine, and complete sets for larger vessels where a diesel generator combined with a battery pack provides the propulsion.

ENGINEERING
We design what it takes to get it really right.
At E-WERF, we understand better than anyone that the perfect solution is not always available as standard. Sometimes things just need to be done differently or can be done better. In such cases, we like to think out-of-the-box and develop our own components.
From an idea and rough sketch to a 3D design and finally a manufactured final product - all in-house.
For example, we supply all our installations with a custom-made dashboard lasered from stainless steel, seamlessly integrating both existing and new controls for optimal ergonomics and a high-quality appearance.
Our own batteries and the Sailconnect are perhaps the best examples of our innovations. With these in-house developments, we continue to strive for even better solutions and stand out in the market.

From plan to implementation
E-WERF does not just rebuild, but integrates. Our advanced systems can be added seamlessly in new-build projects as well as in existing yachts. Since a ship often already has many systems on board, it is essential to make them work well together. The larger the ship, the more complex the existing systems. That is why E-WERF maps everything out and produces a detailed electrical plan as standard, taking into account the energy requirements at any given time. This way, we make sure you can operate everything as you are used to-but quieter, more efficient and with the certainty of getting the most out of your ship.
Thanks to our close partnerships with Victron Energy, Bellmarine, Combi EPS and Vetus, among others, we can connect our systems flawlessly to any existing (NMEA) network. Whether you use Raymarine, B&G, Simrad, Garmin or any other brand, E-WERF ensures that everything works as you are used to... only better. ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
Your boat as a battery for your home
An Energy Storage System (ESS) is a smart energy storage solution that allows generated energy to be efficiently managed and reused. At E-WERF, we install ESS systems from Victron, combined with our own robust and reliable batteries allowing a boat to be used as a battery pack on a houseboat, for example. By setting the internal charger correctly, we can use the sun's energy to meet the energy supply in the evening, for example.
